The popular format Words on Stage once again delivers a grand – and explosive – festival finale this year! The evening brings together a handpicked selection of the finest cabaret performers and most exciting spoken-word artists from across the German-speaking world:
Bänz Friedli, Swiss cabaret performer, author, and language artist. Winner of the Swiss Cabaret Prize Cornichon (2024) and the Salzburg Bull (2015). He dissects everyday life with a fine blade – hitting straight at the heart of society.
Jean-Philippe Kindler, German satirist and poetry slammer. Winner of the German-language Slam Championships (2018), the Prix Pantheon (2020), and the German Cabaret Prize (2022). Political, precise, and mercilessly sharp—humor with conviction and force.
Uta Köbernick, German cabaret artist, singer-songwriter, and actress. Winner of the Swiss Cabaret Prize Cornichon (2020), the Salzburg Bull (2016), and the German Cabaret Prize (2009). Somewhere between chanson and flashes of insight: clever, quirky, and wonderfully idiosyncratic.
Valerio Moser, Swiss slam poet. European Poetry Slam Champion (2025), Swiss Champion (2024), and multiple Swiss PowerPoint Karaoke Champion. A high-speed language acrobat – playful, dynamic, and always landing the perfect twist at just the right moment.
Die Eltern (The parents), Swiss spoken word formation consisting of Gerhard Meister, Stefanie Grob, and Simon Chen. In their current program Teenage Edition, they explore the everyday catastrophes of parenthood – when the hormonal cocktail of puberty collides with that of menopause. Razor-sharp in observation, delightfully absurd, and irresistibly funny!
Hosting the spectacle is none other than Pablo Vögtli, aka “Mister Hip-Hop,” co-host of the radio rap show Bounce on SRF Virus and presenter of Cypher, Switzerland’s biggest live rap event.

If the weather is bad or uncertain, the event will take place indoors at Kaufleuten.
Enjoy sandwiches, snacks and drinks at the festival bar. Open from 7.30 pm.
