Michael Stauffer

Fail in style

20.07.2014
Start: 21:30
Kaufleuten Festsaal

Michael Stauffer, the enfant terrible of the Swiss literary scene, was born exactly 42 years ago, on July 20, 1972. For his birthday, he is giving himself a lucrative appearance at our festival, where, in a duo with musician Hans-Peter Pfammatter, he will provide the ultimate proof that it is better to fail in diversity than to become stultified by simple-mindedness. In his new spoken word program Stauffer kann nicht gut proben, adiö Regisseur (Stauffer can't rehearse well, bye director), Stauffer reads and sings and noises his way through an immense treasure trove of stage texts, inventing never-before-heard dialects and strange gibberish. He knows French, Thurgau, Bernese German and English anyway.
