Judith Holofernes

Judith Holofernes became famous as the singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Wir sind Helden. With their catchy melodies and cheeky lyrics, the heroes conquered the charts and became one of the most successful German bands of the new millennium.

The band is currently on hiatus, but Holofernes' love of cryptic lyrics and witty wordplay remains unbroken. At the festival, she will read from her book of animal poems Du bellst vor dem falschen Baum (You bark in front of the wrong tree): sometimes silly, sometimes full of poetic exuberance, light-hearted and scratchy-comic, she tells at least as much about people. Judith Holofernes also brings her ukulele on stage. It is a matter of honor that the singer also sings a song or two.
